YouTube started using Google Gears.
YouTube Video-hosting site has expanded posting clip opportunities and offered users to upload a few videos at a time, as well as video larger than 100 MB, to the site without additional software. The technology is based on Google Gears.
New version of Gears allows you to upload large files on a web that in the long run will lead to the disappearance of programs-loaders.

Google released a translator for iPhone
Google has released a Translate version for iPhone. The program is optimized to work faster and supports all language pairs that are available with desktop versions of Google Translate.
All translations are stored in the device and accelerate the work of the translator, allowing to find the correct phrase even if the iPhone is disconnected from the Internet.
Annex is written with the help of AJAX Language API. When any of the languages get updated, all the changes become available to the users.

Yahoo will build a new data-center.
Yahoo is considering a construction of a new data center in Wenatchee, Washington. Construction will take place if the state legislature gives permission to receive tax benefits.
Vice-president of Yahoo Kevin Timmons reports that the company has chosen the place for construction of facilities for data center, which will be a copy of already existing in Quincy.
According to the state management, Yahoo will receive all necessary permits for construction in rural areas, writes Komo News
